
Al Altieri
Al Altieri, the COO of CLT Enterprises, has 34 years of management and leadership experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industries. His areas of expertise include procurement, operations, business development, program and general management, financial analysis, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
Al had a long career with Sikorsky Aircraft and UTC. From 2012-2014 he was VP and COO of Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS). SAS is a $2.6B P&L that supplies aftermarket products and services globally to Military and Commercial Rotary Wing and Fixed Aircraft customers. Al provided operational leadership over an annual supply chain spend of $1B and seven factories worldwide. Products and services provided include field service reps and technical support, maintenance, overhaul & repair (MRO), aircraft modifications and upgrades, spares, international material distribution and logistics, fleet management, and Performance Based Logistics (PBL).
Prior to that role, Al had a long career mostly in procurement, including serving as VP, Supply Management from 2006 - 2012. He handled Supply Management, Planning, and Logistics, and led the team responsible for managing over $3B in purchases. Under Al’s leadership, the Sikorsky team achieved many successes in quality, delivery and cost performance. Key activities included growing international procurement to 25% of spend, Supplier Rationalization and Relationship Programs, Systems enhancements, and M&A.
Al holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Connecticut.
Al was a member of the Board of Directors of Eclipse Aerospace, the manufacturer of the Eclipse 550 twin-engine jet. He was active in restarting Eclipse from bankruptcy, with particular focus on supply chain, after Sikorsky made an investment in the company.
Al is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Stevens Manufacturing Company in Milford, CT, a manufacturer of complex mechanical aircraft subsystems.
